We celebrate Holy Eucharist (Communion, the Lord’s Supper, or Mass) every Sunday at 10:30am. As you enter the red doors, an usher will provide you with a bulletin outlining the service. Our services follow the ancient pattern of Christian worship. We call this liturgy (meaning “the work of the people”) and we mean it — every part of the service engages the senses as well as the spirit. Expect to stand, kneel, and respond (as you are able) as we celebrate together the great mystery of faith: “Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.”

Our liturgy is known as Rite II in The Book of Common Prayer (1979); a service both traditional and modern. Our music ranges from the ancient chant and Anglican choral compositions of The Hymnal 1982 to the contemporary hymnody of Wonder, Love, and Praise and the familiar spirituals of Lift Every Voice and Sing — all three of which are found in every pew rack. People familiar with our tradition, other traditions, and no tradition at all usually say the same thing after a service at Messiah: “It felt like coming home.”
